A prime example of our active safety culture is through an innovative process which was rolled out across our plant service sector to reduce risks in plant operation. This process comprises of an automated function called a “kill switch” – a safety measure implemented to ensure total safety in the
operating zone.

This feature provides an engineering control by automatically turning on the safety siren fitted on the machine if anyone enters in the plant operation zone or sensor range. This will in turn alert the operator and spotter. The spotter can in turn halt the machine operations completely by pressing a single button on his wearable remote.

This was recognized as industry leading practice across the industry and reflective of our core safety values.
